🌅 Day 1: Sunrise at Angkor Wat & Small Circuit Exploration

Begin your journey with an early departure from your hotel at 4:30 a.m. to collect your temple pass and witness the breathtaking sunrise over Angkor Wat, the world’s largest religious monument. As the morning light reveals its majestic silhouette, enjoy breakfast before continuing your adventure.

Travel through the South Gate of Angkor Thom, once the grand capital of the Khmer Empire and home to nearly one million inhabitants. Explore the enigmatic Bayon Temple, renowned for its many towers adorned with serene, smiling faces of the Buddha. Continue to the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King, followed by the towering Ta Keo Temple.

Your day concludes at the mystical Ta Prohm, famously featured in Tomb Raider. Here, nature and architecture intertwine as massive trees grow from within the temple walls, creating an unforgettable jungle atmosphere.

🏞️ Day 2: Phnom Kulen National Park & Floating Village

Depart in the morning for a scenic 1.5-hour drive north to Phnom Kulen, a sacred mountain revered by both Hindus and Buddhists. Along the way, pass through charming villages and lush tropical forests.

Ascend to the summit to visit Cambodia’s largest Reclining Buddha, carved from sandstone and housed in a hilltop temple reached by a flight of steps. Continue to the River of a Thousand Lingas, where the riverbed is intricately carved with symbolic representations of Shiva and other Hindu deities.

Next, immerse yourself in the tranquility of the Phnom Kulen Waterfalls. Take time to wade in the basin or cool off with a refreshing swim beneath the cascading waters. Your expert guide will share the rich cultural and historical significance of each site.

After lunch at a local restaurant (at your own expense), time permitting, journey to Tonle Sap Lake, Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake. A boat ride reveals the floating villages and vibrant communities that thrive on its ever-changing waters, shaped by the rhythm of the seasons.
